The home side are looking to keep up with Barcelona with a derby win this weekend, but Atletico are gunning for 3rd place, with Real Sociedad currently 2 points ahead of them. Real Madrid have not lost at home this season, and there’s nothing their rivals would want more than to change that this weekend. The home side will have to do without Rodrygo and David Alaba, while Simeone’s side will have to make do without Rodrigo De Paul and Kondogbia.

Tottenham – Chelsea – Sunday at 14:30

Both Spurs and Chelsea have had underwhelming seasons so far, and this London derby feels like a must-win match for both teams, but even more so for Potter’s side. Kane and Spurs are still in the fight for top 4, whereas Chelsea are struggling, currently sitting 10th in the standings.

Man Utd – Newcastle

The League Cup final is played this weekend, with both teams hungry for a trophy. For Erik ten Hag, it would be a nice way to emphasize the current form his team have been showing, whereas for Eddie Howe and Newcastle it would be pushed as a sign of things to come for a team in its early stages of new ownership. Who wins this one?

Bayern Münich – Union Berlin – Sunday at 17:30

At the time of writing, Bayern Münich are top of the league, but Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund are both on the same points as the Bundesliga favourites, so there’s all to play for this Sunday. Union Berlin have been the surprise package of the German league this season, and a win here could rattle some nerves in Münich.

AC Milan – Atalanta – Sunday at 20:45

AC Milan won the league last season, to many people’s surprise, but this season hasn’t been quite what they were hoping for. They are still in the running for a top 4 finish, and a win against Atalanta this weekend would be an important one. Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta side are currently 6th, and are still hoping for a top 4 finish as well, but the competition behind Napoli is extremely tough. This could be a perfect match to finish off what looks to be a very exciting football weekend.
